tral Lab. The total bed capacity of these hospitals is approxi-
mately 1,500. Erciyes University Medical School operates re-
gionally in Central Anatolia, serving not only Kayseri but also
surrounding cities such as Aksaray, Kırşehir, Niğde, Nevşehir,
Yozgat, Kahramanmaraş, and towns like Şarkışla, Gemerek,
Gürün, Divriği, Yıldızeli, Saimbeyli, Tufanbeyli, Darende, and
Zara. Equipped with modern technology, Erciyes University
hospitals provide patients with treatment which depends on
knowledge and correct diagnosis.

The “Doctor’s Uniform Wearing Ceremony”, started in the
2004-2005 academic year and is held annually. The aim of this
ceremony is to get students acquainted with academic per-
sonnel and gain a sense of being a medical school student.
Furthermore, students are informed and encouraged to par-
ticipate in social activities, congresses, student club activities,
student exchange programs, and student questionnaires.
Student activities are as important as studying, medical ser-
vices, and scientific activities. In order to facilitate students’
extra-curricular activities, the Rectorate has formed student
clubs. Through these clubs, numerous social, cultural, sports,
and artistic activities are carried out.
The Medical School Student Representative coordinates rela-
tions between students and school management in the or-
ganization of these activities in light of student needs.
Erciyes University’s Scientific Research Club (ERBAK) and Turk-
ish Medical Students International Committee Groups oper-
ate in order to support the scientific studies of students.
With the support of academic staff, the Dean’s Office not
