Our university continues to carry out its mission of serving and supporting the city and region in health, education and research processes.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun visited the laundry at the Medical Faculty Hospitals, Mehmet Kemal Dedeman Hematology-Oncology Hospital, emergency building under construction, and Erciyes Technopark Development Zone-2 (TDZ-2) and inspected the construction and renovation works in order to control the current status of ongoing works on campus. Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oktay Özkan, Dean of Medical Faculty Prof. Dr. Cemal Alper Kemaloğlu, Chief Physician of Hospitals Prof. Dr. İbrahim Halil Kafadar, and staff members of the Construction and Technical Works Department accompanied our Rector during the visit.

Our Rector, who meticulously follows the activities on campus, received information from staff members about the works conducted in accordance with the innovations and requirements of the age.

Emphasizing that serving is among the duties of universities, our Rector said: “Maintenance, repair, and construction processes are ongoing at our university. We are inspecting to visit these constructions on site and ensure that the deficiencies are eliminated and completed as soon as possible. We will soon have established units that will be beneficial to our university and provide good services.”

30% of TDZ-2 Construction is Complete!

Pointing out that the tender process of the first stage of the Technology Development Zone-2 (TDZ-2) was completed, our Rector stated that 30% of the construction was completed.

He also stated that there are nearly 300 companies in TDZ-1 and drew attention to the fact that the area is no longer sufficient and there are no additional office areas, and said that offices in a villa project design and hangars are planned to be built accordingly. He added: “We are working hard to organize these projects and put them into service as soon as possible.”

Renovation of Hematology – Oncology Hospital has come to an end

Stating that the Hematology – Oncology Hospital serving for more than 20 years needed renovation, Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun gave the good news that 90% of its renovation was completed, and that it would most probably be opened after Eid al-Fitr. He also thanked the Turkuaz Ceramics company and Businessman Abidin Özkaya for undertaking the renovation of the hospital.

The Construction of the Emergency Annex Building is completed

Our Rector visited the Emergency Annex Building and inspected the works on site. He said: “Kayseri was in need of an emergency building concerning hospital service. Its construction process has just been completed. Lastly, its entrance is being designed. It is really a good building with modern facilities. It is also planned to be opened in a short time.”
