“Joint Venture Agreement” was signed between Turkish Aerospace Inc. (TUSAŞ), Military Factory and Shipyard Management Inc. (ASFAT), Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Aircraft and Motor Inc. (TOMTAŞ) and Erciyes Technopark.
Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov, Governor of Kayseri Gökmen Çiçek, Taner Yıldız, Former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and AK Party Kayseri Deputy; Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oktay Özkan, Director General of Erciyes Technopark Serhat Dalkılıç and dignitaries attended the signature ceremony held at Erciyes Ski Resort.
Making a speech at the ceremony, Ali Ekşi, Chairman of the Executive Board of TOMTAŞ, said that they came together to revive the unfinished story of the aviation industry in Kayseri.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun said that they were happy to take part in the project that was put into practice. He said: “It is obvious that Erciyes University has made significant contributions to our city, country and the world. We are happy that our University has been included in such projects regarding technology.”
After the speech of our Rector, Director General of TUSAŞ Temel Kotil and Director General of ASFAT Esad Akgün made speeches.
Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar said: “We will achieve new successes in the defense and aviation industry with the support of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, ASFAT, TUSAŞ, TOMTAŞ and Erciyes Technopark. We believe that the unfinished sad story of TOMTAŞ will turn into a great success story with the works you will carry out here. Kayseri, one of the most important industrial cities of Türkiye with a deep-rooted experience in the field of defense and aviation, will also host this structure.”
After speeches, Ali Ekşi, Chairman of the Executive Board of TOMTAŞ; our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Director General of TUSAŞ Temel Kotil and Director General of ASFAT Esad Akgün signed the Joint Venture Agreement.
