TÜSEB organized the “Strong Steps Toward a Productive Health Ecosystem Project Competition for Undergraduate Students” as part of the “2026 -A Group Emergency R&D Project Support Program," and as a result of the evaluation, two projects from our university, with the details provided below, have been awarded funding.
The project titled “NurseSim: The Effect of an AI-Supported Surgical Patient Simulator on Nursing Students’ Clinical Decision-Making Confidence, Anxiety Levels, and Competence” is led by Eda Nur BAŞ, an undergraduate student in the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The project team includes Batuhan Efe ÖZER, an undergraduate student in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering. The project’s primary advisor is Res. Asst. Dr. Seda AKUTAY, and the second advisor is Dr. Orbay Çağlayan ŞİMŞEK, an expert from the Project Support Coordination Office.
The project titled “Development of a Postbiotic-Loaded Absorbent Antimicrobial Pad for Use in Poultry Meat Preservation” is led by Ceyda KIRANATLIOĞLU, an undergraduate student in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The project team includes Hamza Hakan ÖRNEKOL, an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and the project is advised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serhat AL, a faculty member in the Department of Food Hygiene and Technology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
