The winners of Kitap Magazine’s “Best of the Year Awards” have been announced. The election committees determined fifteen awards in fourteen categories in four different fields for the awards given for the 31st time this year.

As Prof. Dr. Ali Volkan Erdemir, a Faculty Member at the Department of Japanese Language and Literature/ERU Faculty of Letters, introduced the readers to Japanese literature translating Japan authors’ works into Turkish and set an example for the young people in translation by carrying out his academic studies and publishing activities together, the election committee consisting of Doğan Hızlan, Faruk Şüyün, Metin Celâl, Sevengül Sönmez and Sırma Köksal decided unanimously to give the Translated Book of the Year award to the book called,“Haruki Murakami Sözlüğü”, authored by Kunio Nakamura and Hiroko Dozen and translated by Professor Erdemir from Japanese into Turkish.
