Protocol for Collaboration between our University and Eti Mine Works General Directorate

Protocol for Collaboration was signed between our University and Eti Mine Works General Directorate in order to carry out R&D cooperation and to organize scientific events for the sector.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Recai Kılıç, Eti Mine Works Board Chairman and General Manager Serkan Keleşer, Eti Mine Works Board Member and Assistant General Manager Dr. Özgür Saç attended the signing ceremony held at the Meeting Hall of the Rectorate.

Stating in his speech that they have attached importance to the university-industry cooperation since the day they took office, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış said: “Since Erciyes University is a research university, cooperation protocols are important for us. As a requirement of our research university mission, we are very happy to cooperate with both our industrialists in Kayseri and big companies in the sector in our country. Within the scope the protocol, we will do our best to contribute to the education and to provide scientific contribution to the sector. I wish this protocol to be auspicious for both our university and Eti Mine Works. We are of the opinion that this protocol will contribute to our students, researchers and our university.”

Giving information about Eti Mine Works, Serkan Keleşer said that they signed protocols with 8 universities within one year.

After the speeches, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış, Eti Mine Works Board Chairman and General Manager Serkan Keleşer and Eti Mine Works Board Member and Assistant General Manager Dr. Özgür Saç signed the protocol.

Within the scope of the protocol, cooperation will be carried out in the following fields including the subjects such as technical consultancy, research, project and application: “Environment and Solid – Liquid Waste Management”, “Energy Efficiency, Process Design and Optimization”, “Production of Advanced Technology Boron Compounds”, “Increasing the Usage Area of Boron Products”, “Obtaining Valuable Elements Found in the Areas of Eti Mine”.
