FACULTY OF EDUCATION

The establishment of the Faculty of Education within Erciyes
University was accepted with the decision of the Board, num-
bered 2001/3552, and this decision was put into effect after
being published in the Official Journal, numbered 24665, on
February 8, 2002. The Faculty of Education originated from
the Department of Education Sciences within the Faculty
of Arts and Science, which was founded in 1985. When the
faculty was formed, the academic staff of this department
were transferred to the Faculty of Education and the founda-
tion of the new faculty was completed. The faculty operated
FACULTIES moved to their own building. The new faculty building, which
temporarily in the buildings of the Medical Faculty until they

spring term of the 2007- 2008 academic year, has exceptional-
ly modern facilities. There are 24 classrooms, all of which have
