Our faculty, with its educational staff and contemporary de-
sign, believes in educating individuals who could easily adapt
themselves to changing conditions and enthusiastic. We aim
to educate individuals who learn by investigation, have the
ability to think critically in order to enable self-development,

In the Faculty of Education, there are five major departments
with thirteen subdivisions. The major departments consist of
(1) Mathematics and Natural Sciences; (2) Primary Education;
(3) Turkish and Social Sciences; (4) Educational Sciences; (5 )
Foreign Language Teaching.
DURATION OF EDUCATION
The duration of educational training is four years.
MAJOR DEPARTMENTS
• Department of Primary Education
Department of Primary Education was one of the first de-
partments to be founded in the Faculty of Education. It offers
four-year degree courses, which aim to find research-based
solutions to the educational problems of our country, to con-
tribute to the development of educational policy, and the
training of well-qualified educators. Daytime students are ac-
cepted to the Department of Primary Education as well as to
Math, Science, and Social Studies Teaching within the Primary
School Department; evening class students are accepted to
the Departments of Math, Social Studies and Sciences. The
faculty has now begun to accept students for post-graduate
programs in Math, Social Studies, Science Education and Eng-
lish Language Teaching.
