• Department of Educational Sciences
The Department of Educational Sciences was established in
1985. There are four subdivisions under the department of
Educational Sciences. These subdivisions include (1) Assess-
ment and Evaluation in Education; (2) Education Programs
and Instruction; (3) Education Management; (4) Guidance and
Psychological Counsellings
• The Department of Elementary Science
and Math Education
FACULTIES was one of the first departments to be founded in the Faculty
The Department of Elementary Science and Math Education
of Education. The establishment of the department was ap-
proved by YÖK on September 4, 2002. The department, which
consists of the teaching of physics, mathematics, chemistry,
and biology, has no enrolled students in any of these de-
partments as of yet. It aims to prepare prospective physics,
chemistry, biology, and mathematics teachers for primary and
secondary state schools. To this end, the department plans to
provide its graduates with the necessary content knowledge,
prerequisite professional skills, and general knowledge, which
are necessary for highly qualified educational professionals.
Although it has not yet started to accept undergraduates,
the department offers a non-thesis master’s degree program,
which is conducted by the Institute of Science. Two professors
and an assistant professor serve actively in this department.

Sciences Education
The Department of Elementary Science and Math Education
