BRIEF HISTORY
Faculty of Health Sciences, which is part of Erciyes University
was founded in 1996. The school began its first academic year
in 1998 with the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, fol-
lowed in 1999 by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
In 2016 the Department of Language and Speech Therapy and
the Department of Audiology were opened. The Departments
of Midwifery, Language and Speech Therapy and Audiology
are currently not accepting students. Since the 2005-2006 aca-
demic year, all of our students have been required to pass the
FACULTIES Program. The Department of Nursing has been using the in-
compulsory pre-college English Language Preparatory Year

tegrated education system since 2005.
Affiliated with the Graduate School of Health Sciences, the De-
partment of Nursing has been offering master’s degrees since
2001 and the doctoral degrees since 2005. The Department
of Nutrition and Dietetics has been offering master’s degrees
since 2004 and doctoral degrees since 2016.
