Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun continues to come together with the students within the scope of the event, called “Career Days”.

He came together with the students of the Organized Industrial Zone Technical College.

Emphasizing that it was a good event in terms of broadening the horizons of students, our Rector thanked those who contributed to the organization of the event.

He stated that he was happy to spend time with young people, and he shared his experiences with the students.

He also underlined in his speech that his aim was to contribute to and serve this country.

Talking about the importance he attaches to young people, Rector Altun advised the students to graduate from their school as qualified individuals. He continued as follows: “I worked hard and made great effort. Trust yourselves, be organized, repeat regularly. If you study regularly, you will make a great career plan. After planning your future profession and which department you will study, also plan for the future. Life begins and ends. You don’t have much time. Therefore, plan for your career.”

Recommending the students to read plenty of books, our Rector said: “The most effective role models for children are mothers and fathers. They learn what they see. Set them an example by reading books.”

He also emphasized that as Erciyes University, they carried out not only national projects but also international projects and added: “Saying ‘We are here’, for the first time, we have applied for nearly 6 international projects. Erciyes University is a university in Anatolia, but it is a university that finds vaccine when needed. A vaccine for Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic Fever is being developed at our university. Now, there is no other country or university in the world that has found this vaccine.”

After his speech, our Rector answered the questions of students.
