The ERU Faculty of Medicine was awarded the Accreditation Certificate by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs.

ERU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. İsmail Dursun, President of the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs Prof. Dr. İskender Sayek, Chief Physician of Hospitals Prof. Dr. İbrahim Halil Kafadar, academics and students attended the certificate presentation ceremony.

Making a speech at the ceremony, Rector Altun said that the university administration attaches importance to the accreditation processes.

Underlining that our university ranks fifth among the universities in Türkiye in the number of accredited programs according to the evaluations of the Council of Higher Education, our Rector said: “The fact that the educational processes of a university will be evaluated and subjected to an external evaluation contributes to the success of that institution in many different working processes.”

He also informed the participants about the integrated quality system of our university and continued as follows: “It is among our duties in quality processes to ensure that our university, whose brand value is recognized by everyone, is remembered with its more effective studies. We appreciate that the ERU Faculty of Medicine has successfully undergone an accreditation process.”

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. İsmail Dursun thanked academic and administrative staff and students who contributed to the accreditation process.

He said: “The accreditation certificate is more than just a document. It is also a sign that we need to take on more responsibilities. We are obliged to continue to train the physicians of the future in the best way by maintaining our understanding of excellence in medical education.”

President of the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs Prof. Dr. İskender Sayek gave information about the accreditation processes of medical education in Türkiye.
