Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun came together with newly appointed Assistant Professors at the Conference Hall of the Rectorate Building.

At the meeting where mutual expectations were discussed, our Rector said that he was always in favor of giving the staff their personal rights.

Advising the participants to find new research areas, our Rector said: “This subject is a very important process for your future academic life because the opportunities and capabilities of the university should be considered while choosing new research topics. It is necessary to make effort and open new research areas. We, as scientists, are aware that this is difficult and requires much effort. However, our main goal should be to be insistent on this subject without giving up. I recommend you to remember that the fields and research topics you will choose will direct the advancement stages in your future academic life. While doing this, you should consider your abilities.”

Stating that Erciyes University has essential focal points and progresses accordingly with the works carried out in cooperation, our Rector continued as follows: “We are the only university to receive four institutional awards in the corporate award programs in 2023. We have obtained eight awards in total. Therefore, our university has a critical planning in this sense. Let’s add new scientists to this pool during application processes. It is very important for us that you are involved in the processes.”

After our Rector’s speech, the newly appointed faculty members introduced themselves, asked questions to our Rector and conveyed their requests to him.
