• Industrial Design Engineering
The department of Industrial Design Engineering was estab-
lished in 2010. The department has started accepting students
to the undergraduate program since Fall 2013; to the M.Sc.
program since Spring 2013; and Ph.D. since Fall 2015. The train-
ing periods are four years for undergraduate education and
two years for graduate education. The language of instruction
is Turkish. The industrial design engineering department has
different laboratories like Wooden workshop, Computer-aid-
ed design laboratory, CNC laser, CNC metal cutting laboratory,
CNC model Router, Electronic circuit design laboratory, Indus-
trial design laboratory, Rapid prototyping, Material design,
Mechanical workshop, Model workshop, Ceramic workshop,
Reverse engineering laboratory, Tribology laboratory.
Sectors where Industrial Design Engineers can be employed:
automotive and automotive supply industry, airplane and
ship manufacturing industry, furniture industry, textile and
fashion industry, machine manufacture and mould industry,
glass, ceramic and refractory industry, defense industry, weld-
ing material manufacture industry, casting industry, biomedi-
cal and medical material producing industry, public vehicle
manufacture industry, plastics technology, quality control,
and inspection companies.
