A Protocol for Collaboration between our university and Uskudar University was signed.

Within the framework of the Protocol, studies between both universities will be carried out in many fields such as student, academic staff exchange. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Prof. Dr. Recai Kılıç, our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, Vice Rector of Uskudar University, Murat Yenisu, our Secretary General, Selçuk Uysaler, Secretary General of Uskudar University, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Özkul, the Director of ERU Genome and Stem Cell Center (GENKOK), and academic staff members attended the protocol signing ceremony that was held online.

The signing ceremony started with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ozkul, and then our Rector told that joint projects will be carried out in many fields such as student and academic staff exchange within the scope of this protocol. Our Rector also gave information about ERU and Research Centers in his speech and continued his words as follows:

“Erciyes University is a rooted university with a 43-year history. Moreover, it is one of the 11 research universities. We, as one of universities accepted for the accreditation by YÖKAK this year, passed the first evaluations. We also expect to be one of the first universities to be institutionally accredited by YÖKAK after the final evaluation is made face to face”.

Furthermore, our Rector said that they attach importance to the cooperations with the universities told: “The cooperation between Universities is very important. One of the parameters of the research universities is university-university cooperation publications. With the protocol we will sign with Uskudar University today, we have a lot to give to Uskudar University. We also have a lot to get from Uskudar University. I believe that important projects will come out in mutual cooperation. Of course, GENKOK will lead this cooperation, but we will also have cooperations with our other centers and faculties. Indeed, we are also proud of this situation. As a University, we are glad to cooperate. We hereby carry out a lot of studies and projects. I hope this cooperation will be a contribution to the world, our country and humanity. I thank all the academic staff members for their efforts in this Protocol”.

Drawing attention to the importance of the signed protocol, Prof. Dr. Nevat Tarhan told that it will be a good cooperation with Erciyes University, attaching importance to research and innovation. After speeches, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış and Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan signed the protocol.
