A Handover Ceremony was held at the Faculty of Engineering. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alper Öner, appointed to the position of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, took over the position from our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, former dean of the faculty.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oktay Özkan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alper Öner, heads of departments and administrative staff attended the ceremony held at the Meeting Hall of the Dean’s Office.

Wishing success to Dean Öner, our Rector said: “We did our best during our term of office to increase the personal rights and sense of institutional belonging.”

He also thanked former faculty deans who supported the Faculty of Engineering in taking institutional steps and being at the top in quality processes.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alper Öner, the newly-appointed Dean, thanked our Rector for enabling the Faculty of Engineering to gain an institutional structure.

Underlining that he would always perform coordinated works throughout his term of office, Dean Öner, a graduate of ERU Faculty of Engineering, said that he had always been proud of being an academic staff member of the faculty.

After speeches, our Rector was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a plaque of appreciation by Dean Öner for his contributions to the faculty during his term of office.
