Photography Exhibition on the “Women from Kayseri in the Early Years of the Republic”

A Photography Exhibition on the “Women from Kayseri in the Early Years of the Republic” was held at the Foyer in the Rectorate Building by the Institute of Atatürk’s Principles and History of Turkish Revolution on the occasion of March 8 International Women’s Day.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Oktay Özkan and Prof. Dr. Muammer Hakan Poyrazoğlu, academics, and students attended the exhibition.

Making a speech at the opening of the exhibition, our Rector stated that the photography exhibition raised important awareness and thanked those who contributed to the organization of the event.

Our Rector, who celebrated the March 8 International Women’s Day, said: “This photography exhibition reflects our values. It is very valuable to remember these heroes from our first deputy to various professional groups who proved themselves in Türkiye and the world and showed what Turkish women could do on such a significant and special day.”

Expressing she was proud and happy to participate in this exhibition on behalf of Turkish women, Assoc. Prof. Neslihan Altuncuoğlu, Director of the Institute, emphasized that Kayseri has an exceptional place in terms of the representation of Turkish women in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.

After speeches, the participants visited the exhibition.
