SUMMIT ERCIYES '25: Summit for Those Who Invest in the Future organized by Erciyes Technopark

Deputy Governors of Kayseri Ömer Tekeş and Erkan Kaçmaz, Vice-Rector and Chairman of the Erciyes Technopark Board Prof. Dr. Oktay Özkan, Secretary General of ORAN Development Agency Yunus Emre Şeker, ISKUR Provincial Director Ayşe Ak, Secretary Member of the Assembly of Kayseri Chamber of Industry Sedat Böyük, Board Member of the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce Latif Başkal, ERU Secretary General Prof. Dr. İbrahim Narin, senior officials, and many investors attended the event.

In his speech at the opening of the event, Deputy Governor of Kayseri Ömer Tekeş stated that Kayseri is the capital of entrepreneurship, trade, and benevolence, emphasizing that it is an exemplary city in terms of unity.

Prof. Dr. Oktay Özkan mentioned that, as a university, they are motivated by making significant contributions to the city’s entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem.

Underlining that Kayseri is a city known for entrepreneurship, trade and industry, Professor Özkan said: “As Erciyes University and Erciyes Technopark, we always keep the issue of how to strengthen and contribute to the entrepreneurship ecosystem on our agenda.”

He stated that many companies in Erciyes Technopark are owned by academics and added: “The academic staff members of Erciyes University are part of a structure that produces R&D and transforms it into P&D. As Technopark, we aim to contribute to the transformation of all R&D studies developed at Erciyes University into P&D within Technopark.”

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ufuk Sekmen stated that the event provided an opportunity for new initiatives.

Board Member of the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce Latif Başkal said: “We have always been proud that this important summit took place in Kayseri, where the spirit of entrepreneurship has thrived for centuries and where the first commercial agreements were made. It is both important and enjoyable for us, as the Chamber of Commerce, that this event, which has been held for five years, continues to grow each year, building upon the success of the previous year.”

Yunus Emre Şeker, Secretary General of ORAN Development Agency, said: “As the Central Anatolia Development Agency, we are constantly engaged in activities aimed at improving the entrepreneurship ecosystem. In this context, we strive to send a message to the world from Kayseri in a field we actively support through initiatives such as entrepreneurship business idea competitions, awareness campaigns, research reports, and sector studies.”

Erciyes Technopark General Manager Serhat Dalkılıç gave information about the event in his speech. He said: “We do not only provide technopark services. With a deep sense of responsibility for being in Anatolia, we have a dedicated team that works selflessly on many projects, which we consider to be social responsibility initiatives.”

Following the speeches, awards were presented to the winners of the “My Business is Entrepreneurship” business idea competition, which is organized in cooperation with Erciyes Technopark and the Central Anatolia Development Agency and supports entrepreneurial candidates with technology-based business ideas.
